As we approach our Centennial celebration in 2027, the University of Houston is embarking on a bold initiative to transform our campus into a vibrant, sustainable and welcoming space that meets the needs of today and inspires the leaders, innovators and thinkers of tomorrow.
This landmark Centennial Project reflects our commitment to environmental responsibility by honoring green spaces, promoting sustainability and well-being and creating an environment that feels like home. Together, we will transform a campus in the nation’s fourth-largest city into a destination of pride for Houston — a hub for connection, collaboration and inspiration.
SUPPORT THE CENTENNIAL PROJECT
When 98 gifts of any amount are made to the Centennial Project, an additional $9,800 will be unlocked to support the project. This transformative initiative focuses on three key areas:
- Centennial Plaza: The heart of campus life, where students, alumni and the UH community can gather, create memories and celebrate Cougar pride.
- University Drive: A beautiful and welcoming gateway to the University that fosters a strong first impression.
- Wilhelmina's Grove: A peaceful retreat designed to inspire creativity and reflection while connecting the campus community.
This is more than just reimagining physical spaces — it's about building an environment where students thrive, alumni belong and the UH spirit comes to life.
98 Years in the Making: The Centennial Time Capsule Challenge
In honor of UH’s upcoming centennial and the launch of our capital campaign, we invite you to participate in the Centennial Time Capsule Challenge.
- Make Your Move: Gifts of $20.27 or more to the Centennial Project qualify for participation.
- Leave Your Legacy: Participants can submit a photo and a written memento to be placed in a time capsule.
Your support today will help shape a campus that reflects the ambition, creativity and resilience of the University of Houston. By investing in the Centennial Project, you are helping to create a sustainable, walkable and welcoming campus that will positively impact students, faculty, alumni and the broader Houston community for generations to come.
Be part of this bold vision — support the Centennial Project today and help transform the future of Houston's campus.
